Mr. Kofi Frimpong, the former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Kwabre East Constituency (2005-2016) is the Executive Director (ED) of the Social Investment Fund (SIF). His appointment took effect from Friday, 12th May, 2017.
Mr. Frimpong was Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Trade, Industry and Tourism (2005 -2016); member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance (2005 – 2016); and the President of the Association of Western European Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance (2005 – 20016); and the President of the Association of Western European Parliamentarians for Africa, (AWEPA) from 1985 to 2014.
As a member of the Standing Committee on Finance, Hon. Kofi Frimpong has been part of several Government delegations to World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) meetings in Washington DC USA, and elsewhere around the world.
Hon. Kofi Frimpong brings to the Executive Director position, more than twenty-five (25) years of public and private sector experience in the fields of organizational and business development including health care delivery services.
Hon. Kofi Frimpong holds a BA (Hons) Sociology degree from the University of Ghana, Legon. He has attended several Management and Leadership Courses, both local and international, and has completed the prestigious Stanford Executive Program.
