Heinz Osei Karikari is a Development Specialist with Master of Arts Degree in Democracy, Governance, Law and Development from the University of Cape Coast and B.A Social Sciences (Sociology and Law) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
He has twenty two (22) years of proven expertise in the following:
- Local economic development, capacity building, facilitating access to socio-economic infrastructure, and strengthening of CBOs.
- Proven management abilities: competencies in programme design, preparation of annual work plans and budgets, intervention matrix, implementation strategies, monitoring and evaluating of interventions.
- Effective partnership building with government agencies, development partners, private sector actors and extensive experience in stakeholder networking, fostering of policy dialogues, roundtables and improvement in socio-economic environment.
- Sound understanding and working experience in public-private partnership.
- Strong leadership skills through diplomacy, coordination, coaching, backstopping, teambuilding and negotiation.
- Expertise in the design and implementation of micro-finances schemes.
He has worked in all the 16 regions and several districts and communities in the country and has been a key resource person in several donor funded projects including those funded by: Arab Bank for Economic Development (BADEA), World Bank (IDA), GTZ, KFW, PLAN International (GH), USAID, IFAD, AfDB, UNDP and OFID.
